Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: The Dreadful Crimes trailer released, hits PS4 first

Classic Penny Dreadful mysteries told through “The Dreadful Crimes” mission pack for Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Here’s the trailer for “The Dreadful Crimes”, the forthcoming add-on for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which has been put out by Sony and Ubisoft. Read on after the break to catch the video.

Previously, Sony had touted this as platform-exclusive content for PlayStation 4. Though, in an interesting turn of events, the end of the trailer states that it will only be coming first to the console, instead. As such, expect to see them on Xbox One and PC, as well.

Available after launch, “The Dreadful Crimes”, will include 10 additional side missions, which see Jacob and Evie investigate murders, kidnapping and other crimes throughout London. They are inspired by classic Penny Dreadful stories.

We’re told that players will have to make use of Eagle Vision to scan for clues and uncover evidence, whilst interviewing witnesses and suspects in search of the truth. Through solving crimes, additional gear and artwork will be unlocked.

Ubisoft recently unveiled the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Season Pass, which will feature a plethora of additional content. The highlight, is the Jack The Ripper campaign. Set during the Autumn of Terror in Whitechapel, 1888, it sees player’s team up with Frederick Abberline of Scotland Yard, to hunt down Jack The Ripper in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the infamous serial killer.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the latest chapter into the blockbuster open-world series from Ubisoft is set at the height of the Industrial Revolution. It sees players take on the role of twin Master Assassins, Jacob and Evie Frye, as they fight to liberate London from the corruptive grip of its oppressors, and in the process, free the masses.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is scheduled for release simultaneously in the United States and United Kingdom on October 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, ahead of its PC launch on November 19.
