Go behind the scenes with developer Robomodo and take a sneak peek at Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 ahead of October launch.

Activision is quickly ramping up their marketing campaign for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, ahead of its release next month. Earlier this week, we were treated to the “Skate Like a Pro” trailer and today, we have a new video taking us behind the scenes of the development process.

Found below, the video showcases the techniques used by developer Robomodo to capture each skater’s looks and movements, including 3D scanning. There’s even a brief appearance from skating legend Tony Hawk himself – who, purportedly hand a hands-on approach with the game.

Launching next month on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it was announced earlier this year that the game would not arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 until November. At which point, it will be exclusive to GAME in the United Kingdom.

The high-street chain recently announced that those who pre-order the title across all platforms will receive the “Totally Rad 80’s Pack”, offering up a 80’s Tony Hawk character skin, an 80’s Inspired Birdhouse board, Hawk Skull board, Eagle Shield board, and an Anti-Gravity board.

More than 13 years after the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, the new title from Robomodo will feature what the developer is calling “frictionless multiplayer”, for up to 20 players at any given time with full drop-in and drop-out support.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is scheduled to launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 2, ahead of its release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 13.

Stay tuned to GizLine for future updates, trailers and screenshots pertaining to the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.
