The whacky adventures of a slice of bread arrive in ‘I Am Bread’ for Sony PlayStation 4.

Independent developer Bossa Studios have announced that I Am Bread is now available on PlayStation 4, after its success on Steam Early Access.

Having launched earlier in the year on Steam, I Am Bread lets players take control of a single slice of bread with the aim of making it through each level – of which is filled with obstacles – and turning it into toast.

It’s an interesting concept, that’s for sure. Its developer has confirmed that it has ironed out “all of the bugs and refined the game experience,” with the PS4 version being the most “polished, definitive version” of the rather wacky looking game.

Every game mode has been unlocked, we’re told. That means you can race bagels, smash up the house with a baguette or hunt cheese – all without having to complete the story mode. Though, purportedly “the ending is worth it.”

To celebrate the release, Bossa Studios is offering PlayStation Plus subscribers an additional 10% off the cost of the game during the launch week. The PlayStation 4 version will be complete with full trophy support – along with a platinum trophy – and PS4 Share Play, which allows a friend to hop in and out of the action at any given time.

I Am Bread is available now on PlayStation 4, PC and Mac. It is also under active development for iOS and is expected to launch this year.

Stay tuned to GizLine for future updates, trailers and screenshots pertaining to the release of I Am Bread. Be sure to catch the launch trailer for the title below.
