Master the savagery of Far Cry Primal ahead of release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this month.

Ubisoft has sent over a new video for Far Cry Primal, the next instalment into its open-world saga, ahead of its release later this month on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The video focuses, as its developer puts it, on everything “you need to know” about Far Cry Primal, including its weapons, the powerful Beast Master abilities, and the vicious human foes that players will encounter as they traverse the world of Oros.

Set during the Stone Age, Far Cry Primal takes players back to 10,000 BC. It is a time when man wasn’t sitting atop the food chain. A time when woolly mammoth and the sabretooth tiger ruled supreme. It will follow the story of Takkar, a seasoned hunter and the last surviving member of his hunting group. Upon arriving in the majestic and savage land of Oros, he will be faced with the bitterness of reality. In a world where humans are prey and there is but one goal – to survive.

Back in December publishing giant Ubisoft revealed the Far Cry Primal Collector’s Edition, the “best premium package”, which will provide players with the tools to “understand the terrain and master the prehistoric in-game language.” It will also include access to the “Legend of Mammoth” missions, providing an additional 45 minutes of extra gameplay, through which players will take control of the largest animal in Oros.

Far Cry Primal is scheduled to be released on February 23, 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It will later launch on PC on March 1, 2016.
