D-Link starts shipping first 11AC Wi-Fi Camera

11AC Wi-Fi Camera from D-Link offers ‘faster, smarter DIY home security’ solution, starts shipping now.

D-Link have announced that the DCS-935L, the company’s new HD Wi-Fi Camera, is now shipping at $120 (roughly £75).

It is the first consumer camera of its like, boasting the latest generation 802.11AC wireless technology, allowing it to provide faster speeds and extended range. Combined with its expanded viewing area, which has a 78 degree horizontal field of view, along with crisp HD 720p video quality, we’re told that it is the best offering for ‘home and small business monitoring.’

Key features of the device include sound and motion detection capabilities, which can be sent to a user’s phone. There’s additional details on the camera below:

  • Setup via the mydlink Home mobile app with D-Link Direct Connect wireless setup
  • HD 720p video with 78 degree horizontal field of view for capturing a wider viewing area
  • Night vision up to 16-feet
  • 802.11ac Wi-Fi for reliable wireless connectivity and flexible placement
  • microUSB power input for flexible power options
  • Push alerts on motion and sound detection
  • Supports mydlink Home app for remote viewing

In addition, its 802.11AC Wi-Fi connectivity also allows users to connect the camera to 5GHz wireless band providing a clearer channel for better bandwidth and video streaming, alongside the standard 2.4GHz band.
