Set in Victorian London, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is an ‘epic single-player experience’ that takes place during the height of the Industrial Revolution. It is during this time that the gap between the rich and the poor expands exponentially, making the lives of common workers little more than legalised slavery. They fight for survival by forming a new kind of family – gangs – and adapting to life in the criminal underworld. Players take on the role of both Jacob Frye and Evie Frye, twin Assassins raised under the Creed.

Jacob, a determined, hot-headed and rebellious leader of an underground gang, is the complete opposite of his sister Evie, a master of stealth and self-control. Together, they team up to challenge rivals, plutocrats and Templars alike to free the masses from poverty and corruption, and, in the process, take back control of London.

The game features the ‘largest, most modern open-world ever created’ in an Assassin’s Creed title. If that wasn’t enough, the combat is more brutal than ever, as players fight rival gangs and spread their influence throughout London using new weapons, including brass knuckles, a kukri knife, a revolver and the Assassin’s gauntlet.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is scheduled for release worldwide on October 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC version will release shortly after – though, the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
